Former midfielder Paul Merson believes Manchester United can beat Ipswich in the Premier League on Sunday despite a tough task ahead.

The Red Devils are set to take to the field under the supervision of new manager Ruben Amorim. Which is considered a not-so-difficult game. But Merson sees it as a double-edged sword. But believes that in the end they will be able to take home three points.UFABET

“It’s a good first game if you’re Ruben Amorim but it’s a dangerous game as well and I’ll explain why,” Merson said. “Manchester United can’t lose this game. Which would be a big blow, but if they win people will be like ‘it’s just Ipswich, of course you’re going to win’.”

“It’s going to be a tough game for Manchester United. I think they’ll win but I don’t think it’s going to be easy, Amorim wants to play a back three. It’s going to be a good test. Although I feel United will beat Ipswich, I have a feeling about this game.”

“Marcus Rashford is clearly not Ruud van Niskelroy’s first choice up front. So he needs to turn things around under Amorim. If he can’t do that then I think United are in big trouble.”

“Rashford’s wages will be a problem if the club wants to sell him. I don’t know who will buy him at the moment. It will be interesting to see how he performs with Amorim. It’s definitely something to watch.”

For the result, Merson gave Manchester United a 2-1 win.
