Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has revealed he gave Enzo Fernandez the technical skills. He needed to score in Saturday’s 2-1 Premier League win over Leicester City.

The Argentina midfielder was forced to travel a long way to join his country for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in South America. And returned late to the squad. But the Italian boss still gave him the starting line-up against the Foxes. And Enzo impressed with an assist and a goal, with Maresca explaining the instructions he gave his players for the match.UFABET

“Enzo did well today, he was excellent from the start, as I said many times with Joao Felix, the problem is that it depends on our game plan, we use different types of players,” Maresca said.

“Today I thought it was the right game to use Enzo. Even though he came back from international duty (late). I thought he did very well.”

“I tried to convince Enzo in the same way I did last year with (Wilfred) Ndidi and Kiernan (Dewsbury-Hall) that. The attacking midfielders should get into the box,”

“The reason he scored today is because he got into the box. And if he was outside the box he wouldn’t have scored. We are happy with what Enzo did.”
